Yet, there is one thing that faces a halt as a sign of respect and it’s golf. And many fans are not happy about it.
Dan Rapaport asks a controversial question after Queen Elizabeth II passes away
The queen was the longest serving monarch for the UK and hence her sad demise has affected many. But even beyong individuals, the news has also impacted the sporting world of Golf.
A tweet from golf writer Daniel Rapaport recently went viral and fans are giving all kinds of reactions to it. He tweeted, “Failing to understand how playing a golf tournament would in any way be disrespectful to the passing of a 96-year-old Queen?”

The world knows how BMW PGA Championship saw a sudden halt after the news came out. This led to the “Golf Guy” raising question on the decision.
Golf fans react to the sport’s halt due to the Queen’s death
According to Rapaport, and thousands of other people, the ongoing halt on golf and other sports is not associated with paying respects to the late queen. And a lot of fans (definitely not all of them) are agreeing to his statement and looking for an answer themselves.
If you figure it out, let us know.

A fan even tried to bring forward the harsh reality of what is going on. He revealed that it was only the sports industry that was facing a halt. And that all other services including shops, workplaces, and even theatres are fully functional.
honestly so much sport has been stopped here in the UK. All football has been halted. Pubs, bars, workplaces, shops, theatres, cinemas and almost everything else is open, but sport stops due to "respect". It makes no sense.

A few fans also made fun of the entire country (nothing that we promote). They said that Britain had to be the best at everything, including grieving the queen’s death.
All about the optics Dan. Britain has to be the best at everything, including grieving
— Derek (@twostoutanyway) September 9, 2022
Its the British way… turns into a huge "I'm grieving more than you" contest…

But some are actually reasoning for the decision by giving examples of past tragedies. A fan brought in the sports halt that was imposed right after the unfortunate 9/11 attacks.
Um we halted ALL sports after 9/11 for weeks
