In 2016, Wahlberg talked to Yahoo’s, Dan Wetzel, and revealed his cardio routine. He prioritizes his health even during shoots; without delay, he works up during breaks. The golden globe winner completes his rounds while filming early in the day.
He would start running the golf course early at six in the morning. The actor would then hit a drive and rush to the ball even before caddies could arrive with the carts. The Oscar winner would take a club, whack it again, and dash again. This whole circle continues.

His regimen became the news yesterday; the official Twitter handle of Golf Digest tweeted about Wahlberg’s fitness routine and asked if anyone would like to try it.
Would you be willing to give this a try? 🤔

Wahlberg’s cardio workouts are insane, but they make him a better player. He can finish the 18-hole course in around one hour, twenty minutes, or maybe less. It entirely depended upon the putting. Wahlberg running down a nearby fairway might make other golfers take a second look at their workout sessions. And also wonder whether they’ve unintentionally landed on a “Transformers” movie set. But for a 51-year-old, he is in fairly decent form.
The baffling reaction by golf fans
After the tweet went viral, fans stormed into the comment section with their views. A few fans denied they would not try out his cardio, as golf is meant for enjoyment. They are the spectators and are not needed to work out like Wahlberg. One fan pointed out that it does not matter that he can play 18 holes in an hour because it is impossible to play faster than four hours in Los Angeles. Plus, fans also said that golf is an escape for them; they want to enjoy it. Rushing the game has no point, and the fun is taken away.
What does he do if he gets stuck behind a fourball of 70 year old women?

In Los Angeles you couldn't play faster than 4 hours even if you wanted to

Why? Golf is my escape. I'm in no hurry to rush back to the bullshit. Now, don't get me wrong, pace of play should be acceptable (no one likes 4.5-5 hour rounds). But, I like a good pace. Not play like a pace car. Hard pass.

Golf to be enjoyed not run around like a clown. Traditional people traditional! Nothing wrong with quick play but runnings not justified.

Impossible for us commoners. Here in NC a few examples during a round. I’ve observed the following every week, people practice putt, hit several balls, conversations on the greens and tee boxes, rarely let singles play through. That’s my experience 7 yrs in.

Nope.
For me a round of golf is an opportunity to ignore the phone, email and the world. A chance to relax and clear my mind.
Why would I want to shorten the 3.5 to 4 hours down to one?— George Ponder (@Coppertop004) September 30, 2022

4 min 16 sec per hole. I’m sure that’s doable, but why bother?
Golf should yield some enjoyment.
I love to play solo in the late afternoon. It’s not just the play, but being on the course; the serenity. It’s a very zen experience for me.
