Often seen as the greatest of all time, fans are often excited about most news related to the PGA Tour legend, Tiger Woods. This also holds true for Woods’ Slam irons, which are up for auction. How much will the Tiger Woods clubs sell for?

As mentioned earlier, reports and experts expect the clubs to make more than any golf item ever has.

The main reason, of course, is that they belonged to Tiger. Furthermore, they were used during the Tiger Slam – which is when the 15-time major winner clinched all titles consecutively. They went up for auction on Wednesday and will be sold finally on April 9.

Interestingly, that is also the final round for The Masters. With five wins to his name, Woods and the Masters share a deep connection.

The wear-spot on his 8-iron remains unmistakable. It is right in the middle of its face, making it more iconic.

“I remember Freddie Couples said at some point … that he ever starts with his 8-iron and that’s what he uses most on the range because if you immediately go to a wedge, you’re bending over before you warm up,” said Todd Brock – the businessman who originally owned the clubs.

With the 8-iron being a great length, one can also warm up easily. As a result, Woods’ clear inclination towards the club is no surprise.

What do fans think?

As expected, fans had a varied reaction to the clubs being sold.

Some fans focused on the wear spot, discussing how theirs is nothing alike.

Certain fans added that for a professional golfer, these seem common.

Furthermore, few remained skeptical of the clubs, wondering out loud about them not being genuine.

That being said, along with the 8-iron, eight other Titleist 681-T irons are a part of the set. Additionally, two Vokey wedges, a 58-degree wedge bent to 56 degrees and a 60-degree wedge are also included. An interesting detail is the ‘TIGER’ stamp present on both wedges.
