To take the lead in the FedEx Cup Championship, Will Zalatoris had to force and then survive a crazy three-hole playoff. He had the inside track to the playoff’s $18 million first-place prize thanks to his triumph in the first three championship playoff matches.

Zalatoris had finished in the second position in three majors over the past two years. Despite the choke-ups in the past, Will Zalatoris claimed the clubhouse lead after recording a 72-hole score of 15-under with a 10-foot par putt on Sunday at TPC Southwind in Memphis.
