Bryson DeChambeau is finally going to make a comeback on the PGA Tour. The American professional has committed to next week’s WGC Dell Match Play at Austin Country Club. Not to forget, he had earlier withdrawn from the Arnold Palmer Invitational and from last week’s Players Championship after suffering from an injury to his left hand and hip.

Dell Match Play is the perfect ground for him to make a comeback as a professional is guaranteed to play three rounds, and even chances are that he might play less than 18 holes a day due to the Matchplay format.

As soon as the news broke about DeChambeau committing to net weeks event, Twitter erupted with replies from golf fans all over the globe. The Twitter reactions include some mixed replies from the fans.

Moreover, the Match-Play format has proven very successful for Bryson in the past. He won the 2015 US Amateur Championship, which is played in Match Play format. With his win at US Amateur in 2015, he joined the league of Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods,  Phil Mickelson, and Ryan Moore, who won the US Amateur and NCAA championship in the same year.

WGC Dell Match Play is the first World Golf Championship of the 2022 season. The event is taking place at the Austin Country Club. Billy Horschel won the final match versus Scottie Scheffler back in 2021. He won the final match with a comprehensive 2&1 win. Billy also won a prize money share worth $1,820,000. Will he win again?
