Rickie Fowler has been an important part of the golf world. The former No. 1 amateur golfer has made quite a few records and has earned a name for himself. Fowler plays on the PGA Tour and recently played in the Wyndham Championship. But his game there was good enough to take him through to the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

A lot of golf fans are calling Fowler lucky, but what matters is that he is now qualified to be in the bubble.

Fans react to Rickie Fowler making it to the FedEx Cup Playoffs

The Wyndham Cup was the last opportunity in the 2021-2022 season of the PGA Tour for players to claim their spot in the FedEx Cup Playoff. The 33-year-old golfer is one of the two players to make it, but his position is still shaky. Fowler claimed the 125th spot in the standings and his fans are happy for him.

Though the 125th spot is not good enough according to some fans, as per his recognition in the golf world. But some said that Fowler is “well enough to be in the top 125”. Here are a few fan reactions to the recent Rickie Fowler news on Twitter:

Fowler had missed the cut on Friday and his chances of qualifying for the playoffs were almost null. He started in the Wyndham Championship when his FedEx Cup ranking was 123. There were very low chances for Fowler to be able to qualify, but he did anyways.

The golfer was rumored to be joining the LIV Golf league. Almost every player, who sits in an interview and agrees to talk to reporters, has to talk about the PGA vs LIV controversy. However, Fowler’s diplomatic response to his plans regarding joining LIV Golf led him deeper into the rumors.

“I’ve been in talks with them for a long time,” said Fowler “It’s something to definitely look at. At this point, it wasn’t the right move or decision for us, but I’m not saying I’m for sure here or I’m going to go there. I’m going to just kind of leaving my options open and see how things play out.”

It wouldn’t be surprising if Fowler is the next player to join the LIV Golf league. Even his fans are predicting that if he gets out in the first round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, he would go straight to the Saudi-backed tour. Only time will tell what the golfer has in mind regarding his future in golf.
