

Caddies are a critical part of a pro golfer’s career and aid in determining the player’s success. However, what do caddies do when players are on a break during a few weeks in the season? Well, Justin Thomas’s caddie, Jim Bones MacKay, has a pretty interesting job to do when Thomas is not playing.

Justin Thomas is part of the field next week at the Players Championship. The 28-year-old professional is enjoying a small break and will be back in action next week at the TPC Sawgrass- Stadium Course.

Jim Bones Mackay, Justin Thomas’s caddie has the perfect job, which helps him to stay connected with the sport. During off weeks, Jim works as an announcer in the events. Can’t keep Bones away from golf, can you? Bones, who caddied for Phil Mickelson for 25 years, is now seen on the bag with Justin.

Recently, a quite funny tweet regarding Jim moving on to the position of an announcer when JT is not playing went viral. As soon as, the tweet came out, the golf world exploded with replies. Which included some funny ones as well. Moreover, the replies even included some questions regarding Phil and Bones parting ways back in 2017.

Justin Thomas is the defending champ at Players next week
Justin Thomas will look to defend his title next week at the Players Championship. As a result, he will look to go for back-to-back wins at the event. He won the event back in 2021. The former World Number One won the event with an overall score of 14-under-par. As a result, won with a one-stroke lead. With a small break, we can expect fireworks from Thomas once again next week.
