Tiger Woods expected to be at an important PGA Tour meet

Woods is an integral part of the PGA Tour. The golf legend has been on the tour since he was 16 years old, and he played his first match in the 1992 Nissan Los Angeles Open at Riviera Country Club. And so, everyone on the official board of members, including PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, considers Woods a crucial part of tour.

According to golf writer and author Alan Shipnuck, who was also recently in controversy after writing Phil Mickelson’s biography, Woods is going to “fly in” for a special meeting soon.

Woods is expected to fly in to provide counsel/bully/cajole.”

The meeting could be about the LIV Golf controversy which has been going on for a long time. As per Shipnuck, the meeting is supposed to be about “the major championship boycotts to Monahan’s future to a larger compromise”. However, there is no explanation as to what compromises he is talking about here. The fans would have to wait until any official statements are released after the meeting.
