Spiranac is among the famous names in golf and is a former pro-turned social media sensation. Addressing her massive fan base, the 29-year-old tweeted that she is rooting for Long John to win the 2022 PGA Championship. Not to forget, Daly won the PGA Championship in 1991 and is a fan favorite at the event this year.
Paige’s tweet said, “Give me a John Daly major win.” The tweet came to light as Daly teed up at the 2022 PGA Championship. He opened his first round at the second major championship event with a birdie on the first hole. And he was also leading the event at the initial stages of the opening round on Thursday.
Does the golf world want a ‘John Daly major’?
Golf and Daly fans from all parts of the globe reacted to Paige’s tweet about the two-time major championship winner. The majority of fans agreed with Spiranac’s desire and reacted similarly. At the same time, a few others seemed to have a different take on the matter.
He's done. Too much good young talent to even put JD on the golf radar for me

I want a Sunday Daly-Woods lead pairing, after Daly has spent all night at the bar and Tiger has spent the night refusing to drink with him.

It would be the greatest story ever in golf. 91' PGA at crooked stick and the 94' St Andrews Open? and 2022 Southern. Tigers eventual win would pale in comparison. And I'm a tiger guy! #makesundaysgreatagain!

Needs to sign his scorecards. Then, maybe.

A JD win followed by him buying $18 Mich Ultras for everybody in the gallery on Sunday evening would be the greatest sports story of my lifetime.
