The Ryder Cup 2020 is done and dusted. The Europeans came in as the defending champions but were humbled at Whistling Straits. Team USA dominated proceedings on home soil and won the Ryder Cup 19-9, handing Europe its worst defeat. Naturally, an elated Tiger Woods took the time to post a congratulatory tweet for the team.

Had Tiger Woods been healthy, he’d have been either a part of the playing or the nonplaying team, Steve Stricker mentioned earlier. However, the injuries Woods suffered from the car crash have left him severely injured and unable to participate.

Tiger Woods was in touch with the team through virtual sessions. He was keen on providing insights and valuable advice to the players from what he observed sitting at home. Turns out that it worked, and the Americans were unstoppable over the three-day event.

Team USA took the lead early on Day 1 and never conceded big. All of their combinations worked and the players were calm and composed even during crunch moments. Woods’pre-tournament advice seems to have worked.

“This is a new era for USA golf. They are young, they came with a lot of passion, a lot of energy and a lot of game. They are just so good. So it’s exciting to see these guys and exciting for us in Wisconsin to experience this. It was a special week all the way,” Stricker said.
