But then, just as quickly as he rose to fame, he disappeared from the sport. For over a decade, fans have been wondering where Anthony went. Moreover, why hasn’t he played a single round of golf? 

But now, rumors are that Kim might join LIV Golf.

Kim’s Rumored return has created a frenzy among the fans

Kim was one of the most promising young golfers of his generation. But in 2010, he suddenly announced that he was taking an indefinite leave of absence from the sport, citing a shoulder injury as the reason for his departure.

Many fans were confused and disappointed by his sudden departure and speculation began to run rampant about the true reason for his absence. 

In 2012, Kim revealed that he is collecting disability insurance payments, which means that if he plays he would not be eligible for the payments anymore. This revelation caused a great deal of controversy and disappointment among fans and the golfing community. 

In recent years, Kim has made attempts to return to golf but has not been successful to do so due to his injury which has not completely healed. 

The reason why he is rumored to join LIV Golf is still a mystery. But many fans are excited to see him back on the greens.

One person even commented “The Unicorn!! Would be good to see him for sure!!.”

Even PGA fans are ready to switch over to LIV Golf to watch him play. 

@LongLungsLe0n said, “I will watch LIV for at least 30 minutes if he actually signs.”

But some people are not too excited about this return as well, because of Kim’s decade log break from the game.

Eric Larson, Anthony Kim’s former caddie, recently had a phone call with the golfer. He tried to convince him to return to the game. 

Larson mentioned how the sport and the fans have missed him. Although Kim seems confused about the return. “He goes, ‘I don’t know, I really don’t know,’” Larson said.

He further tried to convince him to go out and have some fun on the course, to which Kim replied, “ ‘That’s what everybody wants me to do!’ ”

Kim still has the drive and ability to achieve great things in the game. 

However, it’s uncertain if Larson’s words convinced Kim. Will make a return to the golf scene?
