The 82-time PGA Tour champion had tweeted that he would be on the field at the Riviera Country Club for the Genesis Invitational. Although the whole world was instantly aware of this as soon as Woods announced it, the Tour players were not. They were th playing their second round at the Phoenix Open, and hence completely unaware of the big news.

During the post-round interview, they were then informed about the news, and their reactions were live for all to see.
