The giants of the golfing world, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson share a long history of bittersweet relationship between them. Although their differences are much wider now but there was a time when the two used to engage in fun-filled moments.

And one such historic moment of the duo recently surfaced on the internet after which fans are reminiscing about the old days of golf and praising Mickelson for his witty response to a situation that was getting out of hand. Let’s dive in to find out more.

When Phil Mickelson interrupted the lengthy introduction about Tiger Woods

Fans who love both of their favorite players immensely are disappointed as they don’t see Woods and Mickelson playing together anymore. However, at the beginning of their career, they both competed together in many a tournament and have provided fans with golden moments. One such sweet anecdote was recently shared by NUCLR Golf, who shared a throwback video of Woods and Mickelson from the 2002 Tour Championship in East Lake.

The video shows a rare moment of classic camaraderie as Woods sets to make his shot and the announcer goes on to give a very lengthy introduction and she gets interrupted by Phil.

As one could see in the video above, the announcer gives a long and hefty introduction about Tiger before his shot and says: “Ladies and gentlemen, your 12:55 tee time from Windermere, Florida. Winner of 34 PGA Tour events including the 2002 Masters tournament, The US Open, The Bay Hill Invitational, The Buick Open, The American Express World Golf Championship.” And would have continued with some more accolades for Woods but gets interrupted by Mickelson who says: “All right, all right, we know.” At which point Woods and all the audience present there burst out laughing. The video was also a big hit among fans who were reminded of the good old days.

Phil used to be fun and happy! Nostalgia takes over!
