With or without support from most, the Saudi-backed golf league is on its way. Greg Norman has been persistent with his approach and has reached out to various PGA Tour stars. The series is to begin in June, and will apparently also feature individual and team formats.

To boost the series, Norman ended up sending letters to PGA Tour players. It gave a brief description of their plans while remaining confident about the LIV Golf Invitational Series.
Are players reaching out to Greg Norman?
Sometime around Phil Mickelson’s comments about Saudi and the league were made public, many golfers withdrew their support. However, Norman is confident and hopes for many people to join in eventually.

In a recent interview, he spoke of some good responses from players, though none were named as of yet. “I’ve got to tell you, from a player’s perspective, the amount of response [has been] unbelievably positive,” Norman said.

“I’m talking about single-digit ranked players in the world, emailing me first thing this morning, just so excited to hear about what we have to say and what we’ve got.”
What did Norman write in his letter?
In their letter addressed to various players, Norman and the investors promise a better environment than the PGA Tour. Not only will they be making more money – as the $250 million prize purse suggests – but they will also have more opportunities to play. In the end, fans do believe that money will factor in eventually.
Though Norman’s letter was extensive, not many details were covered.
