On February 4th, 2025, Tiger Woods shared the disheartening news of his mother passing through a social media post. The entire golf world stood in support and shared condolences with the greatest.

Having been just three days of the news, the golfer has shared confirmation of his appearance. The Genesis Invitational will be Woods’s debut event, starting his 2025 schedule. Now with the latest updates shared by TWLegion on X. The post shared breaking news with the caption, “🚨#BREAKING NEWS; Tiger Woods has committed to playing next week’s Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines. 💥💥💥.”

Following the wildfires in Los Angeles, the Woods-hosted Genesis Invitational on February 13-16 has been relocated to Torrey Pines. The update of Woods’s appearance shared through the post saw fans praising his dedication and sympathizing with the unbearable loss.

While the loss for Woods is unmatched. He shared after his mother’s demise, “She was my biggest fan, greatest supporter, without her none of my personal achievements would have been possible.” However, his sheer dedication to the sport and commitment to playing the Genesis Invitational is praised by the fans and they even offered support.

Even at the age of 78, she was seen supporting her son as a fan in the latest TGL match. It is only fitting that the one person who pushed him throughout his journey in golf is the one he should continue to win for.

More fans joined, writing, “Never expected this after his mom passed.” Woods, who has been close to his mother, was expected by fans to take a long break after the sad news. However, the news has left fans praising him for his commitment.
