Why did Max Homa support Paige Spiranac?

In January 2021, golf icon, Paige Spiranac, tweeted about the treatment she receives online. She wrote, “It’s crazy I can be told I look too fat, too skinny, too plastic, too old, wearing too much makeup, not enough makeup.” The former golfer said it wasn’t a build-a-bear workshop and guys need to calm down. They should not judge her based on her looks and appearance.

Like a gentleman, PGA golfer, Max Homa, wanted to make her feel better. He tweeted how they also mocked him about his hairy appearance. “I’m hairy enough to be called a build-a-bear if that makes u feel any better,” said Homa, trying to help out Spiranac. However, it only helped the internet queen a little. Although, she did mention that it was sad how people made fun of Homa for his hairy body. “Guys have it tough too,” she said.

However, we can applaud the gesture of Homa trying to support Spiranac. Criticism and nasty comments on her posts often surrounded her. The trolling takes a toll, and the five times PGA tour winner understands that well. Therefore, he wanted to tell Spiranac that she was not the only one suffering from online hate. There were many, and the pro golfer was also part of it.
