“I had my arm around him when he went down,” said Will Dottley. Dottley, a professional golfer, was playing alongside Daly when the two-times major winner fainted during the tournament. “He had no pulse and wasn’t breathing for close to three minutes,” Dottley added.
Dottley further added that a nurse, who was present in the audience at the right time, had to give Daly CPR to bring him to breathing. The golfer added, “It was kind of a miracle.”

He received medical help in no time, and it helped him get back on his legs again. The medical reports revealed that Daly had a collapsed lung which caused Daly found trouble breathing during the event.
In Daly’s agent’s opinion, a rib injury that happened during a 2007 PGA event might have caused lung collapse. However, Daly had a different theory. According to him, the sudden change in his swing motion is likely the reason for the situation. He had to change it recently due to an injury to his right hand.
