On the second Sunday of May, Mother’s Day brought with it zealous celebrations from across the world. In the thick of it, Thompson also took to Instagram to wish her mom and all the mothers out there. She posted a story captioned, “Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and all the moms out there! Have a blessed day ❤️.”

The picture highlighted Lexi and her mom, Judy Thompson. The star was wearing a pretty shimmery blue dress, while her mom was adorned in a combination of black and white. The pro through her story, showered love on her mom and conveyed her blessings. It was a special representation of the relationship they share.

Thompson looks up to her mom and finds her inspiring

The LPGA Tour star has a strong, resilient side to her. She particularly proved that when her mom was diagnosed with cancer twice. Despite the struggles faced by Thompson, she claimed that her mom’s fight against the illness was inspiring. The 28-year-old credited her mom for motivating her to be a better woman and player.

In one of her interviews in 2017, she mentioned, “You know (my mom) has always been the biggest fighter… She’s always been a role model of mine.” In addition to this, Thompson added that she looks up to her mom and aspires to be like her. Her mother’s positivity, at a time of difficulty, proved to be a source of encouragement, allowing her to improve herself!
