His post-recovery appearance at the PNC Championship alone did wonders for the viewership there, breaking records. Golf certainly has this man to thank for the level it has attained over these decades.

The extraordinary bond the duo share

The pair, nearly two decades apart in age, share the most special relationship we’ve ever seen. Woods, of course, was someone JT grew up watching and idolizing. However, never in his dreams would the latter have thought he’ll have the privilege of being called family by him.

In an interview ahead of the PNC Championship, Tiger opened up about their friendship. He said, “We get a chance tomorrow to play with the Thomas’, which are like our second family. We’ve become so close that I think Charlie’s like Justin’s little brother he never had, and Justin has become the little brother I never had.”

Moreover, JT was the man behind keeping us informed of Tiger’s health throughout his recovery journey, post the solo car crash. He kept visiting Woods and was one of the few regularly in touch with him. That’s something truly special! A bond created from scratch, to last a lifetime!
