Harold Varner III is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Varner had a great run at the Sanderson Farms Championship last week, where he finished T-11. However, he probably had the best day of his life yesterday.
Varner became a father! His wife, Amanda Singleton, gave birth to a baby boy, and the golfer confirmed it with a tweet on Sunday.

Harold Varner III announces the birth of his son
Varner and Amanda had been dating for several years and were engaged for some time and got married in September 2020. The 31-year-old shared the happy news of the birth of his child via social media.
Late evening on Sunday, he took to Twitter to reveal the news of Liam aka Harold Varner IV’s birth. He wrote, “Liam made it. HV4.”

Just a few days ago, Varner was playing some of his best golf at the Sanderson Farms. This was while his wife was heavily pregnant. When asked whether this fact distracted him, he said, “Yeah, I don’t really think about it at all out there because there’s nothing I can do to make that kid come out… So it is what it is. So nothing we can do. I’ll be prepared.”
When asked whether he had practiced changing a diaper on a baby doll, Varner was very amused. “No,” he said, “Hell, no! who practices that?” He even admitted to having not read a single book about babies.

Reflecting on the happiness of his personal life, the 31-year-old is thriving on course. In the last few months on tour, he has recorded five top-20 finishes, including a T-11 at the Sanderson Farms.

The one-time winner on the European Tour, however, said he will not be taking a break after the birth of his son. “I’m not taking any time off,” he said. “That kid’s got to eat.”
