Phil Mickelson is no more part of the PGA tour since he joined LIV earlier this year. After almost three decades with PGA, he has achieved many titles, including being the tour champion and major championship winner. But since he joined LIV, he has been receiving scrutiny from the public, and people have been judging his future in golf.

However, the American Sportswriter, Alan Shipnuck, thinks differently. The writer specializing in golf believes Mickelson can surprise everyone by doing the most unexpected. In an interview, he revealed what he thought about the former PGA golfer and what his future has in the closet for all the fans.

Will Phil Mickelson ever win again?

Talking about the tournament win of the LIV player Phil Mickelson, Shipnuck said that the pro golfer has multiple lives. The major championship winner tends to surprise you with his kills, and you will never know what hit you. He can do “improbable” things, so Shipnuck refuses to rest the case regarding Mickelson.

According to Shipnuck, Mickelson might be going through thick and thin since he got debarred from the senior tour. However, his performance and pep-in-the-steps have been enhanced since he became part of the Saudi-backed golf tour.

The 45 event winner on the PGA tour is not an ordinary person. His pride and ego separate him from the rest, and he won’t settle for less. Appreciating Mickelson, Shipnuck said“He has too much pride and ego to be an irrelevant afterthought.”

Shpinuck believes good things are in store for Mickelson next year on LIV. The LIV player is still dangerous for the golfers, especially if it is a fiery Open link or a baked-out Augusta National. And not to mention, his victory in the PGA Championship was only 17 months ago. It isn’t that long ago, and he can be back in his form again. And when it comes to Mickelson’s future in golf, he is like a cat with nine lives. So saying ‘never’ is wrong in his case. He said, “The guy has nine lives, so I’m never gonna say never.”

When did Mickelson win last?

The most incredible win of Mickelson’s golf career came when he was true to himself, wrote Alan Shipnuck. His performance at the PGA Championship 2021 Ocean course swept everyone away. Fans wait for his successive big win, and Shipnuck is sure it will come next year. So let’s wait for Lefty to be back on track and watch him win.
