The recent tournament he played, “The Match” with Irish professional golfer Rory McIlroy on his team, also didn’t end very well for him. It turned out that despite all of McIlroy’s and Woods’ attempts, JT and Spieth sealed a spectacular win. And Spieth later explained his happiness about his victory against Woods to Colt & Drew on Gravy & The Sleeze.

Spieth explained how Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods are very close with each other. “Justin and Tiger are really close, he goes over to Tiger’s house quite often,” Spieth said. “He can lean on him a little bit.” During the conversation, the golfer also mentioned his views about how Woods reacted to losing the tournament.

“My favorite part…you know, Tiger, first off, he doesn’t lose very often. He hasn’t in his whole career,” he said“And then, at the end, we got those bracelets, and Tiger’s just standing there having to watch somebody else get crowned a champion!”. However, Spieth mentioned he was “laughing” at the whole situation, looking at Woods’ reaction.

Jordan Spieth also stated that more than winning the tournament, there was something else that made him even happier. “There’s more joy in how angry Tiger is than even winning this thing,” he said. And what Woods did next was even more unexpected. Spieth recalled Woods’ reaction to him laughing and said, “He just smiled essentially saying, you know, ‘F off!’”. However, Spieth described the scenario as a funny situation, mentioning Woods didn’t take losses very well.
