The Ryder cup is a battle between Europe and the USA, where the best of the best team up to impress. That being said, Team Europe and Team USA have already found their captains in Henrik Stenson and Zach Johnson, respectively.

Stenson, however, looks excited. Replying to a tweet making the announcement, Stenson added that “this will be fun.” Looking at the response, the 45-year-old seems happy about the selection, as well as the upcoming Ryder Cup.

Stenson himself has been a part of five Ryder Cups, winning three of them.

He will also be going up against Johnson, who can bring quite a lot to the opposing team. After all, even after countless predictions, the young Team USA took away the Ryder Cup honor with them.

How did Stenson thank the selector?

“I would like to thank the selection panel for believing in me and will say to them, and every European golf fan, that I will do everything in my power and leave no stone unturned in the quest to get the Ryder Cup back in European hands,” Stenson said. Moreover, Stenson added that the Ryder Cup is golf at its very best.
