Jessica Korda, a six-time winner of the LPGA Tour, celebrated the birth of her son on February 3, 2024. Greyson John DelPrete, the newest addition to the family, brought a great deal of joy to both parents and to the aunt, Nelly Korda as well. In a recent Instagram video, the younger Korda sister shared a heartwarming update about her nephew, who is now apparently the only reason she goes to visit her Jessica.

The LPGA Tour shared a video featuring Nelly Korda, discussing her nephew, mentioning that she has only “seen Greyson twice.” As she spoke about him, Korda’s eyes sparkled with joy. She emphasized that Greyson is “the sole reason” she drives “3 hours” to her sister’s humble abode.

While her eyes sparkled with sheer joy while talking about the latest addition to her family, she could not help but gush over her nephew. Referring to him as “cute”, Korda said, “He’s a chunker, he’s been feeding well.”

The 31-year-old has been absent from the golf course for some time now. She last teed up in May 2023 at the Cognizant Founders Cup, where she had to withdraw after the first round. In August 2023, she announced her pregnancy, revealing that she was expecting a baby in February 2023. After giving birth to Greyson, she became the first LPGA Tour member to have a child in 2024.

Sebastian Korda is an American professional tennis player who is also Greyson’s uncle. He also responded to the birth of his nephew on Instagram, where Sebastian re-shared the story from his sister with five heart emojis, expressing his love for the little one. Nelly Korda also expressed her excitement about Greyson’s birth when Jessica Korda shared the news on social media. The enthusiastic aunt, Nelly, couldn’t contain her excitement and wrote, “CANT WAIT TO SPOIL THE SHEEEEET OUTTA YOU GREYSON.”

Despite receiving daily updates about him in their family chat, it’s challenging for the LPGA Tour pro to meet him frequently due to her busy schedule, but she ensure to spend some time with her entire family when she was away from the Tour, and had missed the Asian Swing.

Does Korda prioritize spending her free time with her family?

Recently, the 25-year-old took a break from the professional golf and utilized that time to reconnect with her family. She spent some time in the Czech Republic visiting her native home. During this break, she also strengthened her bond with her nephew and her sister, and spent time with them. Before she took the small hiatus, she was coming off a win at the LPGA Drive On Championship wherein she ended her 14-month winless drought. So, one could say that the LPGA Covergirl does prioritize her family.
