And there was a time when LPGA Tour sensation, Annika Sorenstam, expressed what impressed her the most about Tiger Woods.

Annika Sorenstam is no less than a legend herself. And so, her talking about Woods with so much respect and appreciation makes him a bigger star than he already is. Well, that’s exactly what the female golfer did during an interview with Graham Bensinger.

While talking about the 15x major winner, Sorenstam was asked how she and Woods helped each other. Here’s what she said: “Understanding what it’s like to be at the top…what it takes the sacrifices you make, somebody to talk to that kind of can relate to that.” After all, coming from one of the greatest golfers to the other, they ought to have such common interests.

Moving forward in the conversation, Sorenstam revealed how her relationship with Tiger evolved. “It became competitive,” she said. “When I won I would text him, when he won he would text me…that’s kind of cool”.

But later, when asked about what was the most impressive thing about the former world champion, Sorenstam claimed, he’s amazing”. The list went on as she mentioned the GOAT’s best qualities. “His concentration level, focus, you know, disciplined in certain areas. He would ask me questions…he’s very inquisitive about getting better,” she said. “The ability to focus…to me was something I haven’t seen before.”

Sorenstam and Woods shared a great professional bond. Both players are greatly responsible for bringing golf to the world in their own manner. While Sorenstam quit her professional career at the end of 2008, Woods still continues to play professionally. But as far as women’s golf is concerned, fans still consider the 90 international tournament winner as the greatest of all!
