Being a former sports entity herself, Paige Spiranac understands the mindset of the other sports personalities. While the social media sensation isn’t impressed that easily, the former MLB legend had quite the lasting impression on her. And she cannot help but talk about his character.

“I was really lucky on this trip,” Spiranac said excitedly. “I got to play with Derek Jeter.”

The 29-year-old boasted about her meeting with the former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter to Amanda Rose. Paige and Amanda host the podcast ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee,’ where they debate and discuss all things golf and more.

Spiranac played golf with the MLB legend at the Derek Jeter Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament held in the Bahamas. The event was conducted to raise money for the Turn 2 Foundation. Notably, Grammy Award-winning artist, Pitbull, performed at the event this year to entertain the celebrities and athletes in attendance.

The format of the event comprised a two-round celebrity-amateur golf tournament, followed by a competitive shootout between the celebrities. “I was paired with Derek Jeter,” Spiranac further added about her experience at the 2022 event. “And I was very excited about it.”

Jeter began his career as a shortstop back in 1996. Ever since then, he never had to look back until he retired after 20 consecutive seasons. Along with 14 All-Star Games and 5 Gold Glove Awards, he was also inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020.

Not to mention, Derek retired after recording 3,465 hits, 1,923 runs scored, and 4,921 total bases.

“He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met,” Spiranac couldn’t help but praise the Yankees’ former shortstop.

“A lot of them are very narcissistic and co**y,” she explained, talking about the sports entities she has met throughout her life. “And he is the exact opposite,” she added, referring to Jeter.
