Though she retired fifteen years ago, Annika Sorenstam is a name that still reverberates in the golf world. The thriving legacy of the Wonder Lady with 94 wins is commendable. She had a full-fledged career with several accolades added to her name, but recently she added another laurel to her achievement cabinet.
Sorenstam has been included as the latest member of the Augusta National Golf Club. Now, hours after her recent reward, the golf goddess is looking forward to a new venture as part of her women’s empowerment endeavors.

The tower of women’s golf Annika Sorenstam is still contributing to the golf world at the age of 53. She already has done well on the career money list thanks to her record-breaking performances. Now, as per the latest news, she has been included in the Augusta National Golf Club by the chairman, Fred Ridley.
The club, which was criticized for excluding women’s participation, has been more open since 2012 and has tried to include more women. Now, Sorenstam is a part of it as well. Hours after that, Sorenstam began another feminist movement to promote women’s golf.

A recent post was shared from her Instagram account. In the video, Annika Sorenstam, Billy Jean King ( tennis player), and Lyn St. James (a former race car driver) can be seen talking about the Parity Week presented by Gainbrige. Three events will be organized under the supervision of these three pioneers. From November 6th to 12th, 180 female athletes will be participating for a whopping prize money of $13 million.
This initiative is a venture to elevate and spread women’s sports. Sorenstam is quite fueled after her inclusion in ANGC by the chairman. The chairman even expressed a few words about the former golfer in delight.
