The PGA Tour/LIV Golf unification is arguably the most heated topic in the golf ecosystem right now. Everyone connected to the game cannot help but form an opinion regarding the unforeseen merger. After all, the impact of the same is consequential on all the entities of golf. This includes fans and non-players as well.

While the perspectives and verdicts have been angled from all sides, Paige Spiranac has also stepped in with her words. However, her mantra is a little distinct. Through her 3-word response, she has reflected on a simple formula to greet the golden era of golf. She said, “LIV, Laugh, Love,” as per the Instagram post of PointsBet Sportsbook.

Her words highlighted LIV as a pun, constituting both the Saudi-backed LIV Golf and the desire to sustain in this world. But one cannot overlook the other two terms that reflected positivity. In a way, Spiranac tried to lighten the situation amid growing dialogue. She encouraged everyone to laugh and love like a mantra. She started off by asking the golf world to sit back and take deep breaths and not to trust ‘these sources’.

Furthermore, the star focused on the fact that no one knows for sure what this merger actually implies. She even addressed Rory McIlroy‘s statement that the merger might “play out” to be “ultimately great for the game of golf “. The Instagram celebrity even hinted at the potential risk that “US and European regulators could block the merger under anti-trust.

Apart from this, Spiranac encouraged the golf audience to try to relax and look out for the positives of the new union between leagues. But amid the high tensions that this merger has brought on, the golf beauty’s words did not give the fans any solace. In fact, it left them infuriated with her stance!

Fans brush aside the three-word mantra from Paige Spiranac

Spiranac’s words and opinions constantly influence thousands of her followers. Hence, her latest statement gathering attention was no surprise either. However, the twist was that this time her loyal fan base didn’t share her lighthearted approach. They were in turn disappointed with the turn professional men’s golf had taken! Flooding the Instagram post, they wrote:

“It’s all about the money in about every aspect of life. Greed will be the end of life on this planet.”

“This isn’t shocking. The Saudis knew they needed a legit TV deal to make it work. The rich get richer and now golf can go back to being boring and undramatic again. Yay.”

“How can the PGA that stands for integrity & sportsmanship, go back on their word. What about all their sponsors & support groups. Just a terrible way to do business!”

“I only care about how the PGA threw players under the bus and how the LIV used their vast resources to make more. LPGA for me. Or Japan Tour. Its like the NCAA and bowl executives losing control of the money printer”

“I know the PGA folded like a modo”

“Com on Paige. How can we trust the PGA leaders now?”

“Yeah PGA finally went were the money is after being hypocritical”

One fan particularly reiterated that he has been trying to have an optimistic outlook, but given the situation, it isn’t easy. He commented:

“Trying to keep an open mind but my gut reaction is very negative.”

Some of the fans were still inclined toward Paige Spiranac’s advice and added:

“breathe in and breathe out with me here!”

It’s all good, pretty Valentine’s Day girl! Having all of the top players competing against each other more often is fantastic for the fans.”

It’s golf; have fun, talk s**t, make money”

The overall dismay also urged some of the viewers to mention the Ladies Professional Golf Association.

“And the lpga is left behind?”

“Watching the men’s tour implode over greed while the lpga just chugs along swimmingly is quite a sight to see”

Despite the words of hope from Paige Spiranac, fans appear to be deeply hurt by the billion-dollar merger. However, only time will tell how everything will pan out.
