In the recent video uploaded by Callaway Golf, the PGA Tour star recorded a short clip. He congratulated Zhang on one of the biggest moments of her life, as illustrated by the Instagram handle, “@jonrahm with a congratulatory message for @rosezhang as she turns pro 🌹.”

The 2023 Masters champion went on to list a few of Zhang’s “incredible” achievements, which included her 12 wins and the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. He further added, “I am really impressed“. Rahm ended the video with words of encouragement and welcomed the 2020 U.S. Women’s Amateur winner to the “Callaway family,” considering that they were now brand buddies. He said, “Your future is very bright. So, best of luck! Welcome to the Callaway family. I know they are going to treat you very well, as well as they treated me. And they are going to support you in every step of the way.”

Legally known as Topgolf Callaway Brands Corporation, Callaway is a golf equipment company that is associated with many renowned golfers, including Jon Rahm, who joined the brand in 2021, and Rose Zhang. The company holds a great reputation, with the market cap of $3.21 billion as of May 31, 2023.

Rahm’s thoughtful message was also met with appreciation from Zhang. She took to Instagram and re-posted the video on her story and wrote, “So honored 🫠,” appreciating the PGA Tour pro for his kind words.

She said, “I am excited to announce that I am officially turning professional and will be making my debut at the @mizuholpga next week!”

She further mentioned the endless support and inspiration she has received from so many people. “From my teammates to my coaches and trainers, to my friends and my family—you have all been integral in my journey, shaping me as a person and player while making sacrifices for my success. You have made it possible for me to pursue my dreams,” Zhang said.

Now, the Sandford golfer, after several amateur feats, would compete on a 120-player field, which also has 24 junior golfers playing a 72-hole stableford. The 2023 Mizuho Americas Open is sure to witness some talented gameplay. And such a nerve-wracking competition will undoubtedly challenge the young Zhang and help her transition into a skilled professional.
