The reason behind Justin Thomas’ new business decision

Back in 2019, Justin Thomas was faced with a life-changing revelation. He was diagnosed with early signs of skin cancer, to be specific, melanoma. However, JT got lucky and the malignancy got diagnosed in its early stages where it could be treated with a surgical procedure that was accompanied by no future risks.

Even though the incident was not at a life-threatening level for Thomas, it made him realize the significance of taking precautions to keep one’s skin safe from the damage the sun can cause. This was the inspiration behind JT’s new business venture WearSPF.

WearSPF is a skincare line created by Justin himself. The brand comprises a full range of sun care products. Justin talked about why he thought it was a necessary change, especially for athletes like golfers.

He said, “As a young athlete, I wish I had known to wear sunscreen all the time. I was lucky, we caught it early. Now I apply WearSPF and reapply every 2 hours.”

Thomas’s views on the world ranking points issue

According to the new system of OWGR, the already slim chances of international players coming into the big picture fade even further. This directly results in an unequal system, according to many people online. Although JT does not think so.

He defended this new system by opining that it is directly proportional to the quality of the field and hence, justified. Although this view was not widely appreciated by fans online. Justin Thomas, hence, made sure to put his point forth on the burning issue.
