Sepp Straka may be best known for his four PGA Tour victories, but behind his success stands the steady support of his wife, Paige Dean Straka. Though their story isn’t widely known in the golf world, Paige has been a constant presence in Sepp’s journey, making their partnership a defining part of his rise.

Interestingly, the duo had their cupid moment due to a football match.

Their journey together began in 2017, during their college days, when their respective college teams, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Auburn Tigers, clashed in the season’s final game. It was at this event that the two first met.

Following that first meeting, the pair quickly connected, and their relationship blossomed, providing a strong support system for each other ever since. As Paige told Colorbox Photography, “We antagonized each other that entire first night — and the night after. Is it weird that I liked the banter back and forth? Honestly, I think that’s what sparked the connection — that and some encouragement from great friends.”

Their connection soon deepened and evolved into a tradition of family gatherings for Christmas.

Even Straka shared about their relationship that, “There’s some good smack talk throughout the year, but that week I feel like we kind of just walk around on eggshells a little more and try to be careful.”

Over time, their bond continued to grow, and the duo got engaged in December 2020. That, too, came as a surprise to Paige.

After three years together, the golfer sat on his knees in Al. Wine Bar in Birmingham, and asked for a lifetime commitment. Interestingly, before proposing on a casual Friday, the two had just spent two weeks in Mexico, where Paige expected Straka might propose. However, the unexpected proposal on an ordinary day left her shocked yet happy. Since then, the duo has stepped into a new phase in their personal lives.

The duo, after an unexpected proposal in 2020, tied the knot a year later. On September 27, 2021, the pair in Shoal Creek, Alabama, had their wedding ceremony, where Paige wore an off-the-shoulder gown, while Straka stepped in with a classic black tuxedo. With the growing support and personal life advancements, the duo welcomed their first son, Leo, in December 2023.

Although the golfer has shared updates about his life on Instagram, he has still kept Leo out of the limelight for now. The PGA Tour pro shared photos of his son after his third win on the tour, which came against Justin Thomas at the American Express. While Straka celebrates his victory with his family, he also makes sure to support his wife equally, as she supports him.

The bachelor’s and master’s degree holder in accounting from Auburn University has helped Paige find her love of life. That also marked the beginning of her professional career. Dean is currently working as Senior Acquisitions Manager at Southern Veterinary Partners. Notably, she has previously worked as a staff tax accountant at Ernst & Young and as a human resources assistant at Medical Properties Trust, among other prominent companies. But despite her reasonably successful career, she has not missed any opportunity to support Straka.

Paige has been a part of the biggest wins. In 2022, she witnessed her first PGA Tour win at the Honda Classic. Even later in 2023, she traveled to Hawaii with the golfer for The Sentry Tournament of Champions.
