Over the years, social media has empowered fans to interact with their favorite stars. However, this empowerment often leads to fans taking an unprecedented advantage to denigrate the entities. Something similar happened with Paige Spiranac’s latest social media post.

Golfer turned social media influencer, Spiranac caters to a whopping 3.5 million and 658K followers on Instagram and Twitter, respectively. Being one of the most active social media entities, she posted a video of her practicing. Although the post drew a positive reaction from the majority of her fans, a Twitter user took his chance to criticize Spiranac over divots.
Paige Spiranac schools a Twitter fan for calling her out
Taking to his Twitter handle, the user shared photos of a torn-out divot, calling out the Colorado-born former player for her golfing etiquette. Hoping to clear her stance, Spiranac responded by saying, “It’s a public driving range. I’m not the only person who was hitting. Those aren’t my divots. But honestly how entitled of you. Most people don’t know how or don’t have the skill level to make a proper divot pattern. Get over it.”

The fan’s criticism came in response to the 29-year-old’s latest post. Taking to her social media handle, Spiranac posted a video of her polishing her skills. Sharing the clip, she wrote, “Golf is my therapy and also the reason I need therapy.”

Paige reminded the fan that she might have left professional golf, but she clearly hasn’t forgotten her skills and etiquette.

The time when Paige was called out for her golfing attire
Over the years, the game of golf has jotted down a set of guidelines adhering to one’s outfit while on a golf course. However, scrolling through Paige’s social media handle, one can see that she has a unique dressing sense. While the majority of her fans appreciate her style, she was once called out for the same.

A couple of months back, conversing in a podcast, Paige recalled her visit to a new golf course. “I wore something that I knew I wouldn’t get in trouble with,” she said. “I had a collar, I zipped the zipper up so there was no cleavage showing, it came about mid-thigh, and I felt like it was a very appropriate outfit,” she further added.

However, going ahead in the conversation, she further revealed that, during her time at the golf course, a woman called her out for her ‘inappropriate’ attire. The incident clearly left a mark on Spiranac, as she accepted to breaking down on her way home.
