More often than not, every little activity by celebrities is closely followed. Fans love to know what their favorite stars are up to, even if the update is not related to their profession directly. The same applies to members of the popular group BTS, some of whom have recently picked up golf as a new hobby.

According to the content posted by the members themselves, two members seem to have started playing golf. Each member has their own unique style and has always taken up various activities they might like.

As mentioned, two BTS members, Min Yoongi and Kim Taehyung have started playing golf. While Yoongi has been playing for months, Taehyung seems to have recently started. Having said that, there is no way to confirm that other members have never tried the sport.

On October 20, 2021, all members went live on VLive to interact with their fans before their ‘Permission to Dance’ concert. During the live, BTS’ leader Kim Namjoon ended up revealing that the second-eldest has been playing golf recently. While Yoongi himself nodded with his eyes closed, the youngest Jeon Jungkook chose to stand up and enact Suga’s swing while Taehyung and Park Jimin laughed.

BTS Fans React to Kim Taehyung’s Impressive Golf Update

Additionally, the 28-year-old rapper had himself posted a photo of a golf course on Instagram. Though the post is now deleted, it was the confirmation fans needed.

Since when has Kim Tahyung been playing golf?

As per Taehyung’s own update, the Inner Child singer has started golf around three weeks ago. The 26-year-old posted a story showing off his new swing on Instagram, also revealing that he has been practicing with a 7-iron. Taehyung further admitted that he was indeed a rookie, and was only getting started.

This did come as a surprise to fans, especially as he had shared a clip of himself practicing judo hours earlier.

Furthermore, Taehyung even replied to fans about golf-related queries on Weverse – an app by their entertainment company, Hybe Corporation. “On a really good day I’ve hit 175~82-ish distance with a 7-iron,” he mentioned in one comment.

According to the k-pop idol, it was his dad that got him started in the first place. “My dad said it’s his wish to go out in the field and play golf with his son so it’s been 3 weeks since I started playing/learning,” Taehyung wrote.

Having said that, one can note that the 7-iron is often chosen by beginners. Typically driving the distance of around 120 yards, PGA Tour pros should be able to hit around 195 yards as well.

Fans even reminded everyone that Taehyung’s actor friends, Choi Woo-shik and Park Seo-joon, also play golf.

Armys remain excited over the idea of Taehyung and Yoongi possibly playing together. Many remain hopeful for a photo together, if not for a video.

One should also note that Yoongi is also known for previously playing basketball. Not only has the People singer attended NBA games, but he has also been seen wearing basketball apparel at times.

On the other hand, Taehyung’s most recent release was his song Christmas Tree, a soundtrack for the Korean drama Our Beloved Summer. Suga, on his end, has produced the track Stay Alive. Sung by Jungkook, the song was released on February 11th and is also a soundtrack for their webtoon Chako.
