Scottie Scheffler’s historic win at the RBC Heritage just one week after his Masters feat has asserted him as an undefeatable force in golf circles. But this series of four wins out of five starts in 2024 is not just bountiful for World No. 1 but also for his caddie, Ted Scott. The veteran caddie added a fourth Masters win to his record this year, making him one of the richest caddies on the PGA Tour this year.

It is important to note that the average weekly wage of a PGA Tour caddie is between $1,500 and $4,000. Additionally, following the general standard, Scott would have earned at least a 10% cut out of Scheffler’s winner’s payout. This makes the Masters not only a historic moment in his life as a caddie but also one worth around $360,000.

Following a similar prize purse from the Masters, Scheffler’s record-breaking win after ANGC at the RBC Heritage also fetched his bagman another $360,000. Factoring in his other two wins at THE PLAYERS Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational would add another $450,000 each to the bagman’s wallet.

Thus, from the star golfer’s four wins alone, Ted Scott seems to have earned a minimum of $1.62 million so far in 2024. Scheffler also finished T2 with a score of 11-under-par at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, a feat that fetched him a total of $553,735. Tracing back to the norms, the caddies are guaranteed 7% of the winner’s payout for top-ten finishes. This would mean that it is safe to add another $38,761 to Scott’s already hefty wallet of $1.62 million, totaling up his 2024 earnings to around $1.66 million solely earned from Scheffler’s earnings.
