Which players exited on the final days to the Sentry?

With just a few days to the limited players’ field, some shocking news has been released about player’s injuries. The news eventually stated the harsh truth of fans’ favorite being ruled out from the first tournament. Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler were the two names who confirmed their presence but, due to injuries during the festive break, shared about their absence.

Most recently Viktor Hovland shared about his toe fracture through his social media, stating “Bed frame 1- 0 me.” The X-ray image shared on social media explained why he would be away from the field. On the other hand, World No. 1 while enjoying the Christmas celebration “sustained a puncture to the plan of his right hand from a broken glass.” Leading to immediate surgery and a longer break from the field, which for the fans is disappointing.

It’s hurtful to see professionals getting injured with just a few days to the tournament. However, the opportunity for the other golfers might turn out to be a great option to lead from the first tournament. Who do you think will take the Sentry 2025 title? Will the defending champion take it or will Xander Schauffele continue his great form at the course? Share your pick with us in the comments below.
