The PGA Tour’s only team event is right around the corner, scheduled from April 25th to 28th. The Zurich Classic is the only event on the Tour that does not follow a stroke-play format. Instead, played in four-ball (Thursday and Saturday) and foursomes (Friday and Sunday), the event will see one pair crowned champions after the final round.

The field is exceptionally interesting this year. While Nick Hardy and Davis Riley look forward to defending the trophy this year, Rory McIlroy is all set to make his debut, partnering with his former Ryder Cup mate Shane Lowry. Many in the golf community, naturally, are all set to witness the match in person. However, if you have not yet gotten hold of the tickets for the Zurich Classic, here is how you can enjoy every moment from the comfort of your home.

There are at least five different broadcasters for the Zurich Classic 2024

Here’s a detailed schedule for streaming through all the days of the Zurich Classic 2024.

The Zurich Classic 2024 will be a course of brotherhood to root for—quite literally! Three sets of brothers will be teaming up to fight for the trophy: Matt Fitzpatrick and Alex Fitzpatrick, Nicolai Hajgaard and Rasmus Hojgaar, and Parker Coody and Pierceson Coody. Apart from that, the 2022 champions, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele (the only ones where both players are ranked in the top 10), will be looking to reclaim the title once more too!

How are pairings made for the only official PGA Tour team event?

Michael Kim, who paired up with K.H. Lee, shared a post on his X account to shed light on how the players go about selecting their partners for the Zurich Classic. He revealed that, for starters, it was important to know if a player was looking forward to participating in the championship. Second comes finding out if he has already found a partner. As long as both criteria were checked,  one could pair up with them on the course. Very humorously, Kim compared it to asking someone out on a date.”

The golf pro mentioned that it was also important to ensure that you pair up with someone in the same league. This helps in creating better coordination for the field. Most players don’t ask someone who’s totally out of their league unless they’re very good friends,” he said.

Well, it’s quite clear just by looking at the pairings that most pros are on the same wavelength as Kim when picking their partners. As for who chose the best? Tune in to find out!
