Charlie Woods Finishes Second at a Junior Golf Event in Orlando

Charlie Woods is the upcoming star in the sport of golf. The 13-year-old appeared on the scenes back in 2020 at the PNC Championship. Charlie and Tiger finished as the runner-ups of the event.

Charlie competed on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at the Disney Junior Open. Let us find out more about the event and see how Charlie performed?

Charlie Woods finished runner-up on the Hurricane Junior Tour

Charlie Axel Woods plays on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and was part of the field at the Disney Junior Open. He featured in the boys  11-13 age group category. The two-round event took place from 5th February to 6th February at the Walt Disney World Palm Golf Course. The par 72 golf course measures 5686 yards.

Further, Tiger also happens to be an investor in the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour.

Axel Woods carded two rounds in the ’70s to finish the event with an overall score of 3 over par, 147. As a result, finishing the runner-up for the event. Charlie shot an even-par 72 in the final round of the event. Axel made the turn with a two-over-par front nine. His front nine included three bogeys and a birdie.

On the other hand on the back nine, Charlie made four birdies and a double bogey. As a result, carding a two-under-par back nine, 34.

Charlie lost the event by 4 strokes.  However, It will be really interesting to see how he moves on with his career.

Charlie’s first-round summary at Disney Junior Open

Axel opened the event with a round of 75, three-over-par. Woods made a double bogey on the first hole, followed by a bogey on the second hole. He made one birdie and two bogeys in the front nine. As a result, making the turn at four-over-par. In the back nine, he made three birdies and two bogeys in the back nine.
