Golf fans often get way too excited when they get to meet their favorite players on or off the field. But like other people, professional golfers are also fans of other stars. And there was a time when American golf star Michelle Wie West found herself in a similar situation after meeting one of her favorite singers, Lance Bass.

Michelle Wie West, 33, is known for her amazing golfing skills in tournaments. The golf beauty has made numerous records on the field and is an inspiration to many. Moreover, the LPGA Tour pro was just 10 years old when she became the youngest player to qualify for the USGA amateur championship.

Fans would give anything to catch a glimpse of the golfer. However, there was a time when she found herself starstruck after meeting her favorite American singer, Lance Bass at a party. In an episode of a podcast with Golf Sub Par’s Colt and Drew, she opened up about her unforgettable experience.

“I met Lance Bass last weekend,” she said. “I was a couple of cocktails in, but I almost cried… wish I could do that moment again.” Strange to hear about such a reaction from a golf star right? Well, everyone’s got their favorites. And for West, it was two people – Lance Bass and Will Ferrell.

West explained how her friend Ji Hae Lee saw the singer at the party’s entrance and asked him to meet the golfer. And that was moments before West was “fully freaked out” by the experience. She said, “I turn around, and it’s Lance Bass, and I’m like, ‘oh my god’, and I fully just freaked out…my 10-year-old self came back out again, and I felt like my heart was gonna beat out of his chest”.

The host was shocked by her response since she had met Justin Timberlake too! “Well, Lance was the one, not JT, Justin Timberlake whatever, ‘hey bud! how are you?’, but Lance ‘oh my god, picture, I’m so sorry'” the host said. When he said he would be jealous of her meeting Will Ferrell over Lance Bass, she said she had only met the singer yet!

Being super-famous herself, it is not common for her to ask someone for a picture. However, she surprisingly did that with Bass!“I never asked for anyone’s picture…and I was like ‘oh my god I love you so much. Can I take a picture with you?’ and he was so nice…I think I blacked out, I definitely embarrassed myself,” she said.

The humble golfer straight-up accepted how huge a fan she was of the singing sensation. While the host assured the fans that this was just roles reversed and fans would say such things to West all the time!
