The fallout between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf is increasing each day. The Saudi-backed LIV Golf is trying its best to expand, while the PGA Tour is trying its best to keep its superiority. Moreover, the Greg-Norman-led league has started off decently and is trying to create the foundation for an enormous leap next year. And prominent golfer John Daly believed these two leagues should work things together. 

However, there doesn’t seem to be any solution, at least at the moment. And golfers continue to jump ship from the PGA Tour to the LIV Golf. Therefore, John Daly recently supported the LIV golf tournament.

John Daly supports the Saudi-backed LIV Golf

John Daly was recently on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored program. The host asked him about his views on the money the LIV golfers are receiving. “I beg Greg Norman to be on the LIV Tour,” said Daly.

“We work really hard, and I played with Brian Harman and some other guys on the practice rounds at the British Open, and it’s like we play Pro-Ams. We get it, and that’s what is the backbone of a lot of our tournaments,” revealed John. Furthermore, he said they play two or three Pro-Ams a week on the Champions Tour but do not get paid well enough on the Senior Tour. 

Moreover, he revealed that the LIV Tour has given golfers a much-needed opportunity. “You know, they play Pro-Ams. It’s a big party. They play for a lot of money, which these guys on that tour deserve that money,” said Long John. Additionally, Daly jokingly revealed, “And I think there are a lot of other guys who deserve that money, especially this man.”

Meanwhile, John Daly currently only competes on the PGA Tour Champions. He has stopped competing on the regular tour because of his age and inability to walk 72 holes. He is currently at the far end of his career and will retire from professional golf in a few years.

The third event of the Saudi-backed league will begin this week, on July 29th. They will play this 54-hole event at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. And the former American president has also competed in the Pro-Am with other prominent entities.
