Tiger Woods doesn’t have many friends in the golf community. The 15-time major champion has made millions of fans worldwide and is one of the top athletes across the globe. But despite being an inspiration to numerous young players, Woods finds only a few people inspirational to him. And one of them is golf legend and Woods’ old friend, the late Arnold Palmer. Moreover, there was a time when Palmer and Woods witnessed a hilarious moment that only a few fans know about.

The infamous Tiger Woods incident with Arnold Palmer
Tiger Woods has been making records worldwide since the beginning of his career. The golf legend is well known for his powerful shots and flawless swings among all his fans. And when it comes to having a history with golf great Arnold Palmer at Bay Hill, there is no other person to think of than Tiger Woods.

A well-known golf journalist once opened up about an incident during a podcast with Evin Priest. And it involved both Tiger Woods and his inspiration cum friend Arnold Palmer. Harig boasted about how he was invited to the locker room on Monday after Woods’ victory. And during the conversation, he said, he heard Palmer “bellow out to Tiger” out of nowhere. “He calls him another word for a wimp because he laid up on 18,” Harig said.
Harig continued describing the event and recalled Palmer saying, “‘I can’t believe you did that! You didn’t go for the green!’ He was just screaming at the top of his lungs to us across the room, and Tiger was absolutely loving it. He was absolutely loving it.”

It is no surprise that Woods was enjoying being yelled at by Palmer as he is a top trash talker himself. But Palmer was certainly one of the very few players who could win over Woods in smack talk. The host ended it up by saying “two of the greatest golfers just putting sh*t on each other”. Nevertheless, those who witnessed the incident firsthand must be really lucky.
Woods announced his return after a long break
After a very long time of recovering and preparing his body and mind to return, Woods has finally decided to come back to the field. According to the latest announcement, it is confirmed that Woods will be playing in the Hero World Challenge later this month.

The event will be held at Albany in the Bahamas. And right after that, Woods is set to play another exciting event named The Match with his teammate Rory McIlroy. And against the duo will be Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.
