Golf’s digital stars are coming together for a special event: The Creator Classic at Philly Cricket Club, presented by YouTube, starts on May 7. Among the 12 creators stepping onto the course is Paige Spiranac, who returns from the original event but in a different role. Sure, she has scaled back her professional appearances in recent years, but her presence among other big names like Nadeshot and Sabrina Andolpho, will grab tons of attention. Back on March 13, she stunned her followers after she appeared at The Creator Classic in a blue dress with a headset and microphone as a part of the broadcast team. Before her first on-course role, she even admitted she was nervous. Still, she called all the golf action in style.

What’s interesting is that back then, she really wanted to play but decided it wasn’t for her. “It’s cold where I live and my game wasn’t in great plain shape to tackle on Sawgrass and I was like, ‘I wonder if they would let me do on course and they were really receptive to the idea and I couldn’t be more excited.” But this month, she will show her golfing skills in style. Now with just days left, the nervousness is peaking, yet she continues to prepare. However, guess what? Just hours ago, Spiranac shared her on-course trouble in her recent “9 Hole Course Vlog” on YouTube.

Paige Spiranac played a practice nine-hole round at the University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch. During the video, she shared about her new clubs, stating, “So I have new irons and wedges, and I honestly really dislike them, and sometimes that happens. They are half an inch shorter than what I am used to and they are feeling quite right. So I’m going to try today’s round. See how they go and if they are not good, then I’m going to switch back to my old set before the Creator Classic.”

The new experiment has turned out to be a failure just before her appearance on the greens. Then, after having a par score in the first few holes, she shared the reality. Spiranac said, “Confirmed. The Wedges are not good. So I’m waiting on my swag wedges, so hopefully I can get those in before the Creator Classic because these are unplayable, I can’t play with them.” But what’s the format of this event?

Well, after the inaugural event last year was a success, they have returned in 2025. It is a team event where viewers will see four three-player teams each (two golf creators and one non-golf creator). It is an alternate short format, which, in Spiranac’s opinion, is the hardest. She expects it to be “chaotic and fun.” While she looks forward to it, she has some ongoing health struggles to watch out for.

Paige Spiranac struggles with health ahead of the second Creator Classic!

The golf diva who played her last professional in 2016 has only featured at the Creator Classic last year. She had finished ninth in the 16-man field and was four shots off the winner, Wesley Bryan. Even with her most anticipated second participation in the event, the struggle list is increasing. Further, in her vlog, she shared how she has been away from the course due to declining health.

Paige Spiranac said, “I haven’t really been practicing that much. I have been sick for the last almost three weeks now where because of a sinus infection and other things. I have been going to doctors and stuff, so I’m not really what’s going on so let’s hopefully that gets cleared out right before I have to go play.”

“I went to the doctor. I had like a really scary experience where she like misdiagnosed me and it was chaotic for like 24 hours.” However, now, even after her misdiagnosis for the infection, she has shared optimism for her participation.

She shared, “I’m not really sure what’s going on, but hopefully that gets figured out right before I have to go play.” The golf influencer, despite the struggle, ended the practice with one under par. With the same hopes of seeing her performing at the Creator Classic, the fans are vouching for her.

But will she be able to get a better score this year and zip the critics? What are your thoughts on it? Share with us in the comments below.
