Ian James Poulter is an English professional golfer. Poulter is currently a member of LIV Golf. So clearly he is also facing the same dilemma as all other defectors when it comes to the ongoing confusion related to whether LIV defectors will be allowed to play the PGA Tour or the European Tour.

In a recent Instagram post, Poulter expressed his confusion regarding the same through a heartwarming message. His emotional post was centered around him embracing the sweet memories he has of his time before the defection took place.

Poulter recently posted on Instagram remembering the old time. He mentioned of the times when he would play on the PGA Tour for 19 years and how it felt. He wrote, “Long before any strategic alliance was ever in place. It’s only been in place for a year. I don’t see the difference.”

Talking about whether he would want to play the Tour again, he said, “Time will tell, I hope it isn’t my last but it won’t be my choice.”

Since Ian Poulter had long been switching and playing both the PGA tour and the European tour from time to time. For him, playing LIV and another tour is no different.

The ongoing controversy of the LIV defectors being banned from the PGA Tour and the European Tours keeps getting more interesting. Although nothing is finalized so far, every other day something new is brought to light. Now Ian Poulter’s new post might garner some interesting reactions.

Poulter on his move to LIV Golf

Ian Poulter was one of the LIV Golf rebels. The former world no. 5 said that he thinks the game of golf is finally moving in the right direction.

Poulter said, “I think golf has definitely changed for the good. I feel the stigma of it being an older gentleman’s game has definitely changed and I think there is a lot of fun in and around the world of golf right now.”

Clearly, Poulter was one of the big names to make the switch.
