However, after being injured recently, fans were worried about the golfer being able to continue. And he recently gave a surprising update about the same in the LIV Golf Team Championship press conference in Miami.

Sergio Garcia gave updates about his knee injury

After wrapping up the LIV Golf Miami event in Doral, Garcia was asked about his left knee injury. The golfer recently got injured and also admitted having trouble playing at a tournament due to the same. Fans got worried after Garcia said that he was finding it hard to hit draws. However, he recently gave updates about the injury at the Miami press conference.

Garcia said“Yeah, well, I had an MRI last week, and unfortunately I have a torn meniscus, but I can play through it. That’s the good thing.” However, the golfer is not ready to get things wrapped up regarding his left knee yet. He said, “After our charity event in Austin, beginning of November, then I’ll get it cleaned up and we’ll be ready to go for the beginning of the season.”

Garcia about choosing LIV Golf over Ryder Cup

Most players who joined the LIV Golf league were shocked after their PGA Tour memberships were suspended and they were banned from tournaments. However, Garcia is one of the few who said that he was well aware of the repercussions. Moreover, the golfer was ready to pay the price for joining LIV Golf.

“I can only speak for myself, but I’ve definitely made the right decision,” Garcia said“I feel like I’m where I want to be. Obviously, I knew some of the things that might happen if I joined here.” According to Garcia, he knew that his decision to leave the PGA Tour and DP World Tour would come in the way of his future on the Ryder Cup.
