Why did Spiranac quit playing as a professional?

The 29-year-old professional was among the rising stars in golf. Spiranac even managed to pick up her first win as a professional in 2015. In June of that year, she won an event on the Cactus Tour at the Orange Tree Country Club by carding a final round of 68. As a result, she defeated Hannah O’Sullivan, the World’s Number One amateur at that time.

However, after her win, things started to go downhill for Paige in 2016. She could not secure her card for the LPGA Tour as she did not make it through the qualifying school. Moreover, at the 2016 Omega Dubai Ladies Classic, Spiranac revealed the amount of cyberbullying she received and broke down in tears during a press conference while telling the same. Furthermore, with all the factors adding up, she announced her retirement from professional golf in December 2016.
