Despite playing her debut event on the ladies’ tour, a 14-year-old Korda remained unperturbed by the experience surrounding her. She opened her scorecard with an impressive 73 at the Sebonack Golf Club.

The following days weren’t kind as she slipped out of contention. But Korda stayed put and managed to make the cut. Her Sunday score of 81 doesn’t make for good reading, but it proved to be a wise experience as she finished tied at 64th place.
