Tiger Woods has given a new face to the game of golf. However, the journey has not been smooth as the golf ace has also faced a lot in his life to reach where he is today. He recently went through a near-death accident when he crashed his car in February 2021.

He also had to go through spinal fusion surgery back in 2016.

Jack Nicklaus doubts Tiger Woods’ post-surgery recovery

Two weeks after Woods went through the painful procedure on his spine, Nicklaus said that he doubted if Tiger Woods would be able to come back to the field. He said, “I don’t know what’s going to happen after [his] fusion surgery. Fusion is hard to play golf after; it’s a very difficult situation. But I’m not a doctor,”

He then added, “I think that he’s struggling. I wish him well. I hope he gets out of it and I hope he plays golf again.” Nicklaus’ good wishes seemed to work as Woods returned to the field during the 2016 US PGA Tour in December at the Hero World Challenge.

Nicklaus also talked about how he is not sure about Tiger Woods breaking his record anymore. “Tiger, I always thought, was going to break my record. Do I think he probably won’t now? I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said.

Woods gets arrested for having 5 drugs in his system

Golf star Tiger Woods was arrested by the police when he was found asleep in his Mercedes-Benz on the driver’s seat at 3:00 a.m. The reports said that the golfer had 5 kinds of drugs in his body including sleep drugs, painkillers, and an active ingredient of marijuana.

However, Woods claimed that it was a reaction to legal drugs, and added that “alcohol was not involved”. He proved to be right after his breath test reports showed zero alcohol content in his blood. The Palmer Beach County Sheriff gave no details about if Woods had a prescription for the drugs or not.

Tiger Woods has certainly gone through a lot. But his game has been affected the most due to his recent car crash injuries in his right leg.
