After all, she has more than 10 million followers across all her social media platforms, something no other golfers could achieve. However, did you know that this radiant entity once had an unpleasant encounter with a friend of hers that led her to have a black eye?

“I am not a violent person,” Spiranac said. She explained her personality through her podcast, ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee,’ before revealing how she got a black eye during her college days. The former golfer retold the story in the podcast while discussing the level of difficulties in sports.

According to her, she tried to help her drunk roommate to get back home safely when the said incident happened. Spiranac explained that her roommate confused her as one of her ex-boyfriends when they got home. “So she opens the door and decks me as hard as she possibly could,” she added.

Paige Spiranac got a black eye after the incident
“I woke up the next day with a massive black eye,” the golf influencer said in the podcast. Moreover, she explained how she had to explain how she got injured to her roommate, who had trouble recalling anything from the night before.

Notably, Spiranac had to attend classes and practice sessions the next day after the incident. Seeing a student with a black eye made her professors concerned for her and asked if she wanted to talk about it.

“I’m like, ‘No, thank you so much, but I just have a psycho roommate,'” she added. Her answer to the professors proves Spiranac was as witty then as she is now.

The first and only fight Spiranac was ever involved in
Spiranac felt like a “bad a**” when she got a black eye from her roommate. According to her, it was the first and only fight she has been involved in her life. Although she enjoyed being a tough girl after the incident, she does not enjoy violence and does not support both physical and mental abuse.

As a matter of fact, she has been an ambassador at the Cybersmile Foundation for a long time. It is an NGO that works to raise awareness about cyber-bullying.

Spiranac got involved in a misunderstanding with her roommate when all she wanted was to help her. Even though her face was not in good shape, the former golfer got to be a part of a fight because of the incident.
