In July 2023, the LPGA Tour received surprising news regarding the 28-year-old English golfer Charley Hull, who disclosed that she had been diagnosed with ADHD. In response, she opted to take a four-week break from the game to address her mental health.

Nevertheless, upon her return to the golf course, the 28-year-old secured a tie for second place at the US Women’s Open. Subsequently, she disclosed to BBC Look East I know my triggers now because I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, quite severely.” While referring to her hiatus to manage her mental health, the pro further pointed out, “I can understand now why sometimes I get bored on the golf course. I feel a lot better now.”

Even though the pro disclosed her condition, numerous interpretations about her circulated within the community. However, in a recent interview with Sky Sports Golf’s YouTube channel, she opened up about the most misunderstood aspect of her when asked, “So I’ve read that some people would describe you as “rebellious” but would you say maybe you are slightly misinterpreted in that way?”
