According to John Daly, when he was asked whether he would tank the event for a million dollars. To which he said, “I said, ‘Go…f***k yourself. No way.”

He continued, “People would come up and say, ‘Can you beat this guy at the British Open? And can you beat that guy?’ … I’m putting money on you.’ And I said, ‘I don’t care, but don’t get mad at me if it doesn’t work out,”

Truly, players loyal to the sport like Daly, are a rare occurrence.
