‘I Try To Keep You Alive’: 11 Years After His Mother’s Death, an Emotional Tony Finau Pens a Heartfelt Letter to Her

Tony Finau recently shared a post about his mother, Ravena Finau. The heartwarming post infused his followers with tears of both happiness and remorse. Longing for a loved one is a tricky process, and Finau’s account holds true of his progress and of his loss.

Finau is a famous American professional. His mother was the reason behind his success in golf. She constantly made attempts to show golf as a profession to Tony.

Tony Finau writes a heartfelt letter to his mother

Finau recently shared a heartfelt letter for his beloved mother on Instagram. He talked about his life ever since the departure of his mother from this world.

The pro golfer also told her about his family. He described each of his kids to her and his wife, Alayna Galea’i-Finau. The duo has four children called Jraice, Leilene Aiaga, Tony, and Sage.

Tony wrote, “Dear Mom, it’s been 11 years since you passed and still, not a single day has gone by where I haven’t thought about you. I make sure my kids know that the best parts of Daddy come from his mom, Nana Vena. I try to keep you alive.”

He also shared heartwarming and lovely memories of his mother, Ravena Finau. Ravena passed away eleven years back in 2011 due to an automobile accident.

Finau’s message was filled with love and the ever-possible question of “What if?”. Losing a parent takes an irreplaceable part of your heart away from you. Tony made an attempt to imagine how it would have been had his mother been present to see his journey as a parent himself.

Death brings the question of “What if?” to the survivors of the person who crossed onto the other plane. The same was presented in Finau’s post. The post gleamed with the memory of his sweet mother, and how he has dealt with life post her departure.

We do lose our loved ones, but their memory remains. Tony’s account was a mirror of the same reality.
